Position Overview:

The Lifeguard / Instructor at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre provides a safe, enjoyable aquatic experience for users of the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre through public education, quality customer service and prevention of water accidents.  Hours of work may include evening, daytime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

Provide the following minimum current awards:

  • Bronze Cross
  • AEC (Aquatic Emergency Care) or equivalent (Standard First Aid)

Desirable:

  • CPR Level C
  • WorkSafeBC First Aid - Level 1
  • WHMIS

Position Information:

  • Wage Rate: $19.21 / hr
  • Status: CUPE Local 2087 - Part-Time
  • Benefits: As per the Collective Agreement
