The City of Trail offers several outdoor amenities for specialized recreational opportunities, and parks for public use and team use. These facilities can be found on our Park Finder.

These spaces contribute to a diverse and well-rounded parks system that supports active lifestyles, organized recreation, and informal outdoor activities for residents and visitors of all ages. Whether gathering with family and friends, participating in team activities, or simply enjoying time outdoors, these parks provide welcoming community spaces that encourage recreation, connection, and year-round enjoyment.

Andy Bilesky Park

Situated in a mountain park setting surrounded by a natural sloping grass amphitheater, this park naturally creates a family-oriented environment that baseball players and fans are sure to enjoy.

This facility hosted the 2005 Pacific Northwest Cal Ripken Regional Baseball Championships and has been a part of Trail’s deep baseball heritage of developing baseball champions for decades.

Butler Park

Butler Park is the premium baseball facility in the south-east interior of BC.

  • Stadium seating for 1,000 people, up to 3,000 with additional bleachers

Gyro Park

Situated along the Columbia River the park’s scenic views of the Columbia valley along with amenities that are sure to have something for everyone.

This park a popular destination for families, gatherings, weddings, fireworks, events, or for people just wishing to enjoy a lovely day in the park.

The park has been home to community events such as the Music in the Park Series , the Annual Polar Bear Swim, and Trail Silver City Days

Haley Park

Haley Park is a historic facility that has long been the summer sporting hub of Greater Trail.

The multi-sport facility is the best track and field facility in the West Kootenay region featuring a 400-metre regulation 8-lane track as well as full track and field amenities (long jump, pole vault, steeplechase, javelin, hammer and discus).

Trail SK8 Park

The Trail SK8 Park is located at Gyro Park near the boat launch.  It’s an all-ages family friendly amenity with 13 great features, including rails and a large bowl.

Learn to skateboard for free, all summer! Skatepark Hosts will be available at the Trail SK8 Park to offer free drop-in skateboard coaching from July 14 to August 12, 2026 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.

During lessons, helmets and armour are mandatory. Please bring your own if you have them, or you are welcome to use our skateboards, helmets and armour for free. 

Waiver forms must be filled out and signed before each drop-in session. Forms are available online here and will also be available at the park.

Summer at the Skate Park is organized by Trail Parks and Recreation and supported by the City of Trail and the Trail Sk8Park.

In addition to these specialized parks, Trail’s broader parks system includes neighbourhood green spaces, natural areas, and community gathering places that provide opportunities to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors close to home. These facilities can be found on our Park Finder.
