Sports Gallery

First Floor

Relive the glory of the renowned Trail Smoke Eaters, one of the most talented senior amateur hockey leagues (WIHL) ever, Trail’s Little League legacy, and much more in the Sports Gallery. An unparalleled sports heritage collection, browse rare photographs and film footage of Trail’s sports heroes. Be inspired! You may find yourself in here one day!

Columbia Gallery

First Floor

Our dedicated 250 square-foot rotating space, the Columbia Gallery hosts temporary exhibits on local topics and welcomes travelling exhibits.

Coming in October 2026 is “Tapestry of Voices: Celebrating Canada’s Languages,” a travelling exhibit from the Canadian Language Museum. This exhibit surveys Canada’s rich linguistic landscape, including over 60 aboriginal languages, Canada’s two official languages (English and French), and more than 100 languages that immigrants have brought to our shores. The exhibition explores themes that touch the lives of speakers of every language in Canada, such as: How have the languages of Canada changed over time? What happens when languages come in contact? How can our languages be maintained for future generations?

History Gallery

Second Floor

Make your way up our grand staircase to take in the History Gallery and immerse yourself in the social and cultural history of Trail. Four distinct segments depict the impact of industry on community development, immigration and demographics, and the tenacity of Trail’s citizens. Unique artifacts, rare photographs, and recognizable film footage will transport you back in time for a walk down memory lane.
