With service through the Ministry of Education and associated ministries, residents of the City of Trail are provided with a complete range of educational programs.
Basic Education
Trail is one of six municipalities and several smaller communities served by School District No. 20 (Kootenay-Columbia).

St. Michael’s Catholic School provides elementary education for students in grades Kindergarten to 7.
Selkirk College
