A 10% penalty is applied on unpaid taxes and unclaimed Home Owner Grant amounts after the tax due date. Interest on arrears and delinquent amounts owing is calculated to July 2 of that taxation year. Penalties are mandated by Provincial legislation and Municipal Staff do not have the discretion to waive, or reduce them.
