About the plan

The City of Trail developed an Active Transportation Plan that will provide strategic direction for an active transportation network that is equitable and accessible for people of all ages and abilities and facilitates active living within the City and connecting region.

Background

  • The City received $41,125 in grant funding from the BC Active Transportation Infrastructure Grant Program to support the development of an Active Transportation Infrastructure plan.
  • City Staff, in consultation with WSP and community stakeholders, worked to develop the plan. The community has assisted in this development by providing feedback in two community surveys.
  • We looked to understand where gaps in the current infrastructure or improvements to existing facilities could be made. With the data collected, we refined the network based on these comments.
