Temporary Sidewalk Closure – Gyro Park to Sunningdale
The City of Trail advises residents that the pedestrian pathway between Gyro Park and Sunningdale will be temporarily closed on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The closure is required to facilitate a geotechnical survey for the Charles Lakes Drive Twinned Watermain Project. The scope of work includes excavating test pits along the bank between Gyro Park and Sunningdale to assess subsurface conditions for the proposed watermain installation.
For public safety, pedestrian access through the work area will not be permitted during the closure period. Residents are asked to follow all posted signage and directions from crews on site.
The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure work is completed.
