Home of Champions

Well known as the Home of Champions, the Greater Trail Area honours past and present residents that have excelled in business and sports or greatly contributed to the cultural landscape of our region.

The Home of Champions Monument, sponsored by Kootenay Savings Credit Union, is located at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Farwell Street in downtown Trail and lists the names of those individuals and groups recognized as hometown “champions.”

Trail is home to the Trail Smoke Eaters Junior Hockey Club and the historic world-renowned Trail Smoke Eaters.
