Debbie and Glenn Wallace have made incredible contributions to the community. This dynamic duo is a true two-for-one special in Trail. Together, package deal that brings double the impact and positivity to everything they touch.
At Webster Elementary School, Glenn and Debbie have been igniting a love for reading in young minds, turning each page into an exciting adventure for many fortunate children and shaping their literary journey.
Individually, their contributions are just as impressive. Debbie's meaningful thinking shines as a Board Member for the LEROI Foundation, while her Sundays are dedicated to supporting the United Church and ensuring we have the best intermission snacks at the rink. Her involvement in various initiatives, from fundraising for our local hospital to championing arts and culture for families, has left a lasting mark on our community.
Meanwhile, Glenn's efforts with the TAG team against graffiti, his cycling initiatives for seniors, and his sports involvement showcase his talents and passion for our community. From spearheading the Trail Against Graffiti team to promoting healthy, active lifestyles for seniors as a cycling without age ambassador, Glenn's dedication knows no bounds. His involvement in sports, fundraising events, and tech maintenance for organizations like Sanctuary and the Salvation Army highlight his diverse skill set and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
Beyond their accomplishments, it's their warmth and generosity that truly make them stand out. They open their doors to guests, lend a hand in fundraising efforts, and make everyone feel like part of the family.
As we honor Glenn and Debbie Wallace as our 2023 Citizens of the Year, the City of Trail expresses our deepest gratitude for their tireless efforts, unwavering compassion, and steadfast dedication to our community.
