The City of Trail Public Works crews are making significant progress in snow removal. They are finishing up the widening of all neighborhoods and sanding problematic areas. Following this, they will haul snow piles from dead ends, cul-de-sacs, and other temporary storage areas.
Snow removal schedule:
Rossland Ave. - Wednesday Feb. 5 starting at 7 a.m.
1400 and 1500 blocks of 2nd Ave. - Thursday, Feb. 6 starting at 7 a.m.
1100, 1200 and 1300 blocks of 2nd Ave. - Friday, Feb. 7 starting at 7 a.m.
Traffic control will be in place, so you can expect short delays when traveling these routes.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change pending weather conditions and availability.
The City also wishes to remind residents the importance of keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice to keep everyone safe. The City's Bylaw states that property owners must clear snow or ice from sidewalks next to their property by noon, except on Sundays and holidays. If you don't clear your sidewalk, the city might do it for you and add the cost to your property taxes. Let's work together to keep our community safe and easy to get around!
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our roads safe and accessible. For more details on our snow removal priorities, visit trail.ca/SnowRemoval.
