The Trail area received around 4" (10cm) of snow overnight, starting at 11:30 p.m. and continuing without pause.
City Public Works crews worked through the night to keep roads and City-owned parking lots open. All available equipment is currently in use to clear roadways as snow continues today.
The focus will be on widening neighborhood roads today and throughout the weekend. Snow removal efforts will continue into early next week.
Once the roads are widened, crews will begin hauling snow from dead-end areas, cul-de-sacs, and congested spots. Larger-scale removal operations will be communicated to the public with specific dates and areas.
Starting at 10:00 p.m. tonight, crews will remove snow from the downtown core, with completion expected by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Equipment in use today:
Three – 5-ton belly plows
Two – 3-ton plows
One – trackless unit
Two – loaders
