
Trail City Council will consider an application for renewal of Temporary Use Permit No. 27 at the Council meeting held July 21, 2025, commencing at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Trail City Hall and via Zoom.
The purpose of the permit is to allow for the continued operations of an Emergency Shelter, located at 2039 Riverside Avenue (shown in crosshatch on the map below). Temporary Use Permit No. 27 will expire on September 10, 2025 and the applicant has applied to renew the Permit for three years. There are no changes to the operation proposed by the applicant. The Renewal of a temporary use permit may be issued for a term of up to three years, and can only be renewed once. A copy of the permit may be inspected at City Hall, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
If you feel your interest in property is affected by the proposed permit, you may attend the Regular Council Meeting in person or electronically to express your concerns to Council. Parties interested in participating electronically should register in advance by email to ca@trail.ca to be provided with the Zoom link. A written submission is also acceptable and encouraged, to be emailed to ca@trail.ca prior to Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
