
City of Trail’s new Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Kelly Robertson, CPA, has had her first day of work in Trail’s City Hall. Kelly brings 16 years of experience in professional financial management and accounting, making her exceptionally well-equipped to serve as a crucial member of the City’s management team. Reporting directly to the CFO, her role offers a clear succession plan, positioning her to lead the City’s finance team within the next three years.
“I’m very excited to be here,” said the City’s Deputy CFO on her first day in Trail’s City Hall. “I was born and raised in Greater Trail, moved around the interior a bit, and am happy to be back home.”
“No one is more excited than me,” said the City's CAO/CFO Colin McClure. “Kelly brings a wealth of skills and experience, and will help us move forward on being more efficient. Last year was quite good, but I can see it getting even better. Kelly is going to play a key role in that.”
Kelly previously managed finances for the City of Castlegar as well as in the private sector. She understands the importance of meeting legislative obligations under the Community Charter, Local Government Act, and other relevant statutes.
