The City of Trail is initiating a series of sanitary sewer system spot repairs as part of its ongoing trenchless rehabilitation program. The contract has been awarded to COPCAN, with work anticipated to begin before the end of September. Repairs are expected to continue through to the end of October.
These repairs target aging infrastructure identified through CCTV inspections conducted in 2019 and 2023. The scope includes replacing damaged manholes, correcting sagging or collapsed sewer segments, and reconstructing broken service connections. Locations span across various neighbourhoods, including Shavers Bench, West Trail, and Oak Street.
Due to the nature of the work, the City may issue additional public notices for specific repair sites where impacts to water service, transit routes, or road access are expected. Residents will be notified in advance of any disruptions.
Construction will take place Monday through Saturday between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. No work is scheduled for Sundays or statutory holidays unless approved by the City.
This work is essential to maintaining the integrity of Trail’s underground infrastructure and ensuring reliable service for residents.
