Call for New Advisory Committee Members

The City of Trail is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who are passionate about the future of our downtown core to join the newly established Major Downtown Development Advisory Committee.

This select committee will play a vital role in supporting the City’s downtown development initiatives. Members will contribute to meaningful discussions and provide valuable input on how to minimize disruption and maximize community engagement during major projects.

The committee will:

• explore challenges impacting local businesses during the planning and construction phases of downtown projects;
• recommend proactive communication strategies to keep the community informed and engaged;
• act as a liaison for residents to voice concerns related to downtown development;
• involve other downtown stakeholders to gather input on City proposals; and
• suggest ways to reduce the negative impacts of construction, including noise, dust, traffic, pedestrian access, parking, and business disruptions.
