Bear Creek well maintenance and watermain flushing

Shaver’s Bench, Miral Heights, Glenmerry and Waneta

The City of Trail will perform maintenance work at the Bear Creek Well, followed by flushing watermains in the Waneta area, beginning Friday, September 27, 2024. The project is expected to take three weeks.

During this scheduled maintenance, chlorinated water from the Water Treatment Plant will be temporarily supplied to Shaver’s Bench, Miral Heights, Glenmerry and Waneta. You may detect a slight chlorine smell until the water system is switched back to Bear Creek Well water.

If you experience discoloured water while the City completes the project, run your cold tap (preferably outside tap), until the water comes out clear.
