City of Trail provides location for Extreme Weather Response Shelter

The City of Trail has issued an extreme weather alert, and an emergency warming shelter has been made available through the support and collaboration of City of Trail, BC Housing, the Interior Health Authority, the United Church, and community volunteers.

Trail City Hall will be closed on the following days in recognition of Christmas and New Year's Day:

- Tuesday, December 26, 2023
- Monday, January 1, 2023
Trail City Hall will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 9 AM.

2023 utility bill deadline reminder

The deadline for City of Trail 2023 utility bills is 3:30 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. If unpaid as of January 2, 2024, a 10 percent penalty will be applied.
- Pay online through your banking institution - you will need your City of Trail Utilities Invoice Account Number, included on the invoice received in early 2023 (do not include the spaces) - allow for sufficient time for your payment to process before the due date.

2024 City of Trail payment method and online payment system update

Starting January 2024, the City of Trail will be implementing a 2.4% service charge for all property taxes and utility bills paid with credit card. The service charge is intended to cover what the City pays to process credit card transactions, which has averaged $150,000 annually over the last three years.
Other accepted forms of payment include: Interac (debit), cash, cheque, and payment through a bank or credit union.
