Paving projects scheduled for early November 2025

City contractor Power Paving will be completing work on Hillside Drive and Old Waneta Road from Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to Friday, November 7, 2025.

During this time, we ask Sunningdale residents to use Hazlewood Drive for access to their homes. Local traffic and transit will be permitted through the work zone when necessary.

Shaver's Bench water service interruption on November 3, 2025

On Monday, November 3, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be a water service interruption for residents of Shaver’s Bench, to accommodate the installation of new water main valves. Click here for a map of the affected area.
Prepare in advance by having potable water on hand. Consider filling your bathtub to use as a water source to fill the back of your toilets.

The east-bound lane of Spokane St., between Cedar Ave. and Bay Ave. will be closed until Saturday, November 1, 2025. This is to facilitate the separation of debris, salvageable materials, and backfill in the demolition process. On-site crew will continue to direct traffic during the extended lane closure.

The Trail Regional Airport has a new name for its main terminal building. Named for local visionary leader, Don Nutini, the terminal building now features a new sign outside, and an interpretive display inside that tells the story of Nutini’s contributions to the airport’s success.
