New leadership for Trail's planning and climate action

Upcoming Gyro Park Herbicide Application

On August 20 and August 27, (click dates for maps) select areas of Gyro Park will undergo treatment as part of routine maintenance. These areas will be clearly marked with posted signage. 

While the treatment is quite safe after approximately 30 minutes of drying, we are taking a precautionary approach and ask that the public avoid these areas until the signage is removed, which will occur 24 hours after application.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our shared spaces safe.

UPDATED: Temporary road closures for street paving

UPDATE August 18, 2025: 

From Wednesday, August 20 at 7:30 a.m. to Friday, August 22 at 5:00 p.m., City contractor Power Paving will be completing paving work on Tamarac Avenue and Reservoir Road.  During this time, access to homes will be permitted, however street parking will not be available.

UPDATE July 24, 2025: subcontractors on these paving jobs need to reschedule. This notice will be updated with new information as it comes in, and homes nearby will be notified by hand-delivered notices.
