Borehole drilling will take place in the 2100 block of Daniel Street on Tuesday, July 4 starting at 7:00 am. As a result of this work, there will be no parking along the top of the retaining wall of the 2100 block starting at 7:00 am.
Residents in this area will receive a hand-delivered notice with this information.
The City of Trail apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Gyro Park boat launch lower parking area will be closed on Saturday, July 1. The boat launch will remain open. Boaters are asked to park along the street above after launching their boats. The parking area closure will allow the Trail Firefighters to access the area to prepare and activate the Canada Day fireworks, scheduled to start at dusk (approximately 9:45 pm).

TRAIL, BC – Great news! The Canada Day celebration at Gyro Park on Saturday, July 1 will include a celebratory fireworks show. The Southeast Fire Centre has rescinded the category 2 open fire ban effective June 16, allowing the committee to proceed with the show. The fireworks will be launched from the Gyro Park boat dock at dusk, approximately 9:45 pm. Enjoy the spectacular display from the park or the downtown Esplanade.

Starting July 4, advance bookings will no longer be required to attend high volume swim times at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre.
On August 12, the pool will close until September 10 for its annual maintenance shutdown. From September 11 to September 17, the pool will remain closed to onboard and train new aquatic staff. The Kids Rink capital project at the Trail Memorial Centre is underway! In January of this year, the City shared the news of the Murphy Family Foundation’s contribution of $703,800 USD (approximately $945,000 CDN) to go toward the Kids Rink infrastructure improvements. The project includes replacing the refrigerated floor to help maintain the ice during the warmer months, new arena boards, and access to the McIntyre Room for viewing. The City anticipates the project will be complete by late fall.
