The Provincial River Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for the West Kootenay region. Columbia River flows are controlled by dams so there is little chance of the river flooding in our area. Other smaller streams and creeks in the area may be impacted. To take precautions, the City of Trail will have equipment ready at the Trail Creek intake and the Palyga Drive intake sites.

Marwest Industries Ltd. will be completing the connection of the new watermain between Milligan Avenue and Glover Road on Friday June 10, 2022. Water service will be temporarily shut off for residents in the highlighted area from 8 am to 5 pm. Notices have been delivered to these residents.

Trail, BC - The bear-proof garbage bin managed and maintained by non-profit agency Natural Control Alternatives (NCA) located in Glenmerry at the Public Works Yard entrance will be permanently removed on Monday, June 13, 2022. Although the bin’s use has increased since the removal of the West Trail bin, the user fees have not increased to support the program in Trail.
