Update December 21: City crews are out picking up yesterday's missed garbage pick-ups in West Trail.
Original message December 20: Due to today’s snow event, GFL Environmental was not able to collect garbage in all areas of West Trail today. If your garbage was missed, please put your garbage out for next week’s scheduled pick-up date.
GFL apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for your patience.

UPDATE from Recycle BC and GFL: Missed recycling pick up in West Trail on December 20th will be picked up on December 24th.
Original Notice: Recycle BC has informed the City of Trail that their contractor, GFL Environmental, will not be able to pick up recycling in West Trail today due to poor weather conditions.

The cold temperatures are bumping against warm Pacific air and bringing fluffy snow to all of Southern BC. The snow is expected to continue this morning and begin to taper in the afternoon.
Crews have postponed the snow removal scheduled for today on the 1100, 1200, and 1300 blocks of Second Avenue to transfer resources to clean the downtown core tonight. The City’s garbage contractor, GFL Environmental, was unable to collect garbage on Mountain Street, Green Avenue, Brown Street and Lookout Street on Tuesday, December 13.
GFL will be sending a driver and truck out on Saturday, December 17 to pick up garbage at these missed households. Residents in this area, please have your garbage ready for pick on Saturday before 8 AM.
