The City of Trail’s Public Works crew has started its annual street sweeping and flushing. The sweeper truck will start in the neighbourhoods that have received the earliest snowmelt and will eventually make its way through each neighbourhood.
It takes approximately 3 weeks for the truck to cover the City’s entire 76-kilometre (152 lane-kilometre) road network. To better facilitate the operation, where possible, avoid parking on the roadway.

Collection occurs between 7:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. Have your materials ready for collection by 7:00 a.m. on the first day scheduled for your area.
Be aware that there will be additional traffic and activity in neighborhoods on the designated clean-up days during these times.
City crews will pass through your area only once on the specified date, but branch bundles and paper bags will be collected separately and at different times.

In honour of Sunday’s Gold Medal men’s hockey game, the Province, through its Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch, has allowed licensed premises to open at 5:00 a.m., with local government approval. Given the success and excitement around Team Canada making it to the finals, the City of Trail Mayor and Council is in favour of extending this opportunity to local licensees in good standing.

Be advised that the Trail Memorial Centre parking lot and Esplanade parking spaces will be closed from Wednesday Feb. 25 to Sunday, March 1 for the BC Winter Games.
On these days, the affected pass holders can park in any metered spot with their parking pass visible.
