The City of Trail Public Works department will be performing a sewer line repair in the vicinity of 495 Rossland Avenue on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm resulting in temporary lane closures. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to guide traffic.

FortisBC is planning to replace three transmission structures using helicopters above West Trail within existing Right of Way. In preparation of the work up the hillside, there will be construction on the Elder Trail in the coming few weeks. Temporary barricades will also be set up on Wilmes Lane to protect the area of falling rocks and provide access to the lower sites.
The work will NOT affect power transmission in the area.

The snow gauge at the City of Trail’s Public Works yard noted approximately 6 inches of snow overnight. Crew members maintained our high-priority routes through the night, and today there are seven pieces equipment working on snow removal throughout the City.
