The Trail Regional Airport has a new name for its main terminal building. Named for local visionary leader, Don Nutini, the terminal building now features a new sign outside, and an interpretive display inside that tells the story of Nutini’s contributions to the airport’s success.

In preparation for a special event, parking spots 1-20 on the Esplanade and in the Riverfront parking lot must be vacant on Friday, October 24, 2025.
On this day, the affected pass holders can park in any metered spot with their parking pass visible.

The long-awaited Unicorn Childcare Centre is moving forward with construction, marking a significant step toward addressing childcare needs in the City of Trail.

On October 15, 2025, Pople Park and Reg Stone Tadanac Park (click for maps) will undergo herbicide treatments as part of routine maintenance. These areas will be clearly marked with posted signage.
While the treatment is quite safe after approximately 30 minutes of drying, the City is taking a precautionary approach and asks that the public avoid these areas until the signage is removed. Signage will be removed 24 hours after herbicide application.
