September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. An all-ages event to reflect, learn, engage, and take action will be held on this day at the Trail Riverfront Centre from 11 am to 2 pm.

RDKB Garbage Services and Garbage Tags
Starting October 2, 2023, the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) will take over garbage services from the City of Trail. View the RDKB’s collection schedule or the RDKB’s online interactive map to check your collection day.
Starting October 2, 2023, each garbage bag left out for collection must be tagged with an RDKB garbage tag. Trail residents must purchase these tags for $3/tag. The tags are available now at the following locations:
