Property Tax Payments & Home Owner Grants, Important Information

The City of Trail would like to remind property owners that 2023 property tax payments are due by Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
If you are eligible for a Home Owner Grant (HOG), this must be claimed directly through the Province of British Columbia, online or by phone. When claiming your HOG, we remind Trail property owners that the Jurisdiction is 232, and to not include the first 0 (zero) when entering your Roll No. More information is below and on the yellow document, included with your property tax...
Temporary downtown alley & street closure, June 19 - 23

From June 19 to 23, FortisBC crews will be working in the 1400 block alley between Cedar Avenue and Pine Avenue from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The alley, along with the 800 block of Helena Street, will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic during construction. Traffic control personnel will be on site for additional safety.

Construction Notice, Sanitary Sewer Lining Project June 9 to June 19

Insituform Technologies® Limited (ITL) is under contract by the City of Trail to complete the rehabilitation of selected sanitary sewer pipes in some areas of Trail using trenchless methodologies (Cured in Place Pipe Lining).
The project is expected to run from June 9 to June 19, 2023, between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm.
