Due to the snow event, GFL Environmental was not able to collect all garbage today, Wednesday, November 30. If your garbage was missed today, please leave it out tomorrow, Thursday, December 1, by 8 AM. Tomorrow’s regular route will be picked up as scheduled.

The City has all available crews and equipment clearing roadways as the snow continues to fall. Out today are:
The City’s main priority is to ensure all roadways are open and safe for travel. Once this is complete, crews will widen neighbourhoods, then focus on snow removal by hauling snow from dead-ends, cul-de-sacs, and other areas.
We thank everyone for their patience as we work hard to keep up with the weather.

Starting tonight (Tuesday, November 29) through Wednesday, weather forecasts are estimating between 10-20 cm of snow for our area. During the snow event, City crews will be maintaining high priority collector roads and steeply graded hills. Once the snowfall has subsided, work will begin to open and widen remaining roadways.

On Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM Venture Mechanical Systems will be off loading material for the Salvation Army building. During this time, the Cedar Avenue traffic lane heading south from Pine to Helena will be closed to through traffic. All parking stalls in the 1400 Block of Cedar Avenue will be closed as well.

A portion of Esplanade Avenue and the parking lot near the Trail Riverfront Centre will be closed from Thursday, October 27 to Saturday, October 29, and Esplanade Avenue and Helena Street to Cedar Avenue will be closed from Friday, October 28 to Saturday, October 29 to accommodate the set-up and activities for the City of Trail’s annual Spooktacular event taking place on Saturday, October 29 from 11 am to 3 pm. We ask downtown motorists to take extra caution during the event and to watch for signage...
