Oak Street will be temporarily closed on Friday March 7, 2025 from approximately 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Davey Tree will remove a dangerous tree that is interfering with FortisBC transmission lines. Local traffic will still have access from Topping St. and Elm St (see map).

Cancellation of Extreme Weather Alert
Pursuant to sec. 2(2)(e) of the Assistance to Shelter Act the Extreme Weather Alert (EWA) issued on February 3 for the City of Trail, British Columbia, is now cancelled. The authorities in the Assistance to Shelter Act for police to assist persons at risk due to extreme weather conditions are no longer in effect.
This Cancellation of an EWA is being issued on Saturday, February 15 at 11:30 a.m. PT due to improved weather conditions and forecast.

This morning, City staff discovered a broken water line at 2184 Topping Street. As a result, Topping Street will be closed today for emergency repairs. Residents can access their homes but will not be able to drive past the work site.
