Trail, BC - The City of Trail will be removing an unsanctioned Ukrainian flag that was painted next to the existing painted Canadian flag on the Esplanade river wall near Groutage Avenue. Although the City stands with Ukraine and appreciates the artist’s passion to show solidarity through their artwork, the flag is considered graffiti on City property and must be removed per the Unsightly Premises Bylaw No, 2848.

Advance voting for the City of Trail 2022 General Local Election will take place on Wednesday, October 5 from 8 AM to 8 PM at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre in the Multi-Purpose Room.
A second day of advance voting will occur on Wednesday, October 12 from 8 AM to 8 PM at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre in the Multi-Purpose Room. Anyone eligible to vote can vote at advance voting.

On Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 6 AM to 10 AM, Hil-Tech Contracting will be off loading material for the Salvation Army building. During this time, the Cedar Avenue traffic lane heading south from Pine to Helena will be closed to through traffic. All parking stalls in the 1400 Block of Cedar Avenue will be closed as well.

On Tuesday October 4, the pools, Fitness Centre, the front desk, and the multi-purpose rooms at the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre will be closed to the public due to a watermain repair on Second Avenue.
Trail Parks & Recreation staff will advise patrons booked for swim lessons and other user groups booked for services on this day.
