Unidirectional water-main flushing April 2026

The City of Trail Utilities crews are conducting unidirectional watermain flushing to maintain and improve water quality in the distribution system.

Areas affected: Shaver’s Bench, Miral Heights, Glenmerry, and Waneta
Start date: April 12, 2026                     
Duration: Approximately four weeks

Sidewalk maintenance work in Trail scheduled for April

Sidewalk maintenance work is scheduled to begin the week of April 7, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety. Temporary sidewalk closures may be required as work moves throughout the city.

The work will involve saw-cutting vertical displacements in sidewalks to reduce tripping hazards and improve accessibility. This work will be completed by Safesidewalks Canada, with two crews operating simultaneously. Each crew will be equipped with a truck, trailer, and golf cart.

Invitation to Tender, 2026 Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation

The purpose of this Invitation to Tender is to solicit the best overall Tender(s) for the City of Trail’s Trenchless Sewer Rehabilitation.  

This contract is generally for the following work:

• Cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining of: - 715m of 150mm diameter sewermain, - 685m of 200mm diameter sewermain, and - 120m of 250mm diameter sewermain.
