The City of Trail is internationally known for its Sports and is recognized as BC's #1 Sports Town. The history is so rich that the Sports Hall of Memories contains archival film footage of the Trail Smoke Eaters return to Trail after capturing the Allan Cup in Calgary in 1938. In addition, it has footage of the final game of the 1961 World Hockey Championships when the "Smokies" won their second World Title.

To honour our many notable Champions a Home of Champions Monument, located in Trail's City Centre, celebrates those who have excelled in their chosen field, industry, sports or lifestyle.

With the City of Trail's diverse lifestyle, rich sports history, favourable climate and easy access to four-season and first-class recreational facilities for the entire family, it's worthwhile to take time to Explore Your Trail.
